If you approach Reykjavík by the ocean, you will see this skyline of the city. Well, it depends on the weather, of course. At the top left, the Lutheran Hallgrímskirkja (Church of Hallgrímur). At 74,5 metres tall, it is the largest church in Iceland but also one of the tallest structures in the country. The church is named after the Icelandic poet and cleric Hallgrímur Pétursson (1614–1674).
