The landscape near Lake Mývatn (Iceland) and close to the Fosshotel Mývatn. The photo was shot on the Norðurlandsvegur (North Country Road). This road has a length of 28,04 km and is the old name for a part of the main road of Iceland. This main road is now referred to as "1" and represents the road around the country. All roads in Iceland were renamed in the 1970s.
